The Project Monitoring Team (PMT) of Regional Project Monitoring Committee (RPMC) IX visited selected road and housing projects in Zamboanga del Sur on July 12-16, 2021.

The projects visited by the RPMC IX PMT were the Tukuran-Pagadian-Zamboanga City Road implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) IX and the Land Development Projects under the NHA IX’s Resettlement Assistance Program for LGUs. The said land development projects include the Kumalarang Resettlement Project, Kaangayan Indigenous People (IP) Housing Project, Canibongan IP Housing Project, and Dilud IP Housing Project.

Prior to the actual inspection, a hybrid (physical and online) pre-departure meeting was held at the Kalikasan Conference Hall, NEDA IX Office, Pagadian City on July 12, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. The concerned implementing agencies (IAs) presented to the RPMC Technical Working Group the project profiles and discussed the implementation bottlenecks of the projects to be inspected. Likewise, on July 16, 2021, a hybrid exit conference with the IAs was conducted to discuss the initial observations and recommendations of the team. The team’s firmed-up findings and recommendations will be presented during the 3rd Quarter regular meeting of RPMC IX scheduled on August 19, 2021 via Zoom teleconference. (Reyna Joie Q.
