An orientation on health protocols and frequently ask questions on COVID-19 vaccination was conducted for the staff and outsourced personnel of National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) IX on June 25, 2021 at its office in  Balintawak, Pagadian City. In support of the government’s vaccination effort to mitigate the effects of coronavirus disease (COVID-19), the activity was conducted in collaboration with Pagadian City Vaccination Operations Center and Emergency Operations Center.

The purpose of the activity was to update the NEDA staff on the minimum health protocols and its importance, address the frequently asked questions, and encourage the staff, especially those with apprehensions, to participate in the vaccination program.

Dr. Ryka Angelique P. Gaviola, Carousel Mae Soria-Lamatan, RN, and Mary Joy P. Calimbo acted as resource speakers during the activity. The session covered the data management report on COVID-19 cases in Pagadian City and discussions on COVID-19, minimum health protocols, and facts about COVID-19 vaccine.

After the presentation, an open forum was held. Staff were able to raise their questions to the experts and were enlightened on the myths that were circulating and the facts about COVID-19 vaccine. Participants were also encouraged to help disseminate information to family members, neighbors, and friends who are hesitant or with apprehensions, specifically those under the categories of A1, A2, and A3, to increase participation in the COVID19 vaccination program.
