National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) IX organized a three-day virtual training on Technical Writing for its employees on 14-16 October 2020 via Zoom teleconference. The resource person, Mr. Armand Patrick R. Salamat, Communications Specialist of NEDA Development Information Staff, shared his expertise, knowledge and skills on technical writing.
The training focused on the NEDA style of preparing effective business correspondence, news and feature articles, and presentation materials, among others. Mr. Salamat also shared tips to become a better writer.
“Being a new employee, the training would contribute to my professional growth in NEDA and give me more confidence in my writing skills. It will help me minimize error in making reports,” says Ms. Reyna Joie Q. Remotin, a newly hired Economic Development Specialist (EDS) II. The activity is in line with the NEDA’s pursuit of excellence in the public service and in the continued professionalization of its human resources.
